Job summary

NaphCare is hiring a Dental Assistant to join our team at the Limestone Correctional Facility in Harvest, AL. You will work with correctional officers and dental professionals to provide care to incarcerated patients in a controlled environment where safety is priority and duties are diverse.

Qualifications

• Completion of a one or two-year dental assistant program at a vocational school or community college.
• Maintain the proper training and unrestricted certification as a Dental Assistant.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Be able to obtain CPR certification.
• Must pass the facility’s criminal background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for dental procedures and assist with treatments.
• Maintain patient dental records and protect patient rights and confidentiality.
• Coordinate dental services with Dentist and support dental department operations.
• Sterilize and disinfect equipment; ensure the dental suite is clean and stocked.
