Job summary

NaphCare is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team at the Pueblo County Detention Center in Pueblo, Colorado. As a Correctional Nurse, you will work alongside correctional officers and medical staff to provide care to residents in a controlled environment.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, vital signs, wound care, administering medications, maintaining electronic health records in TechCare, and responding to emergencies.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse licensure in state.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Active BLS CPR certification.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
• Adherence to Code of Conduct and facility policies.
• Must pass the facility’s background check and drug screening

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and interview patients about health problems and medication history.
• Take vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, and weight.
• Provide wound care and dressing changes.
• Administer medications and monitor reactions.
• Maintain electronic health records (TechCare).
• Observe patient health and mental health status.
• Provide emergency first aid.
• Education and discharge planning.
