Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center is recruiting for a Correctional Medication Aide Trainee at the Smith Unit in Lamesa, Texas. This 8-week training program leads to CMA certification, with on-the-job duties and structured classroom instruction.

You will train in the medical department, observe staff, complete CMA program requirements, and, upon successful completion and examination, transition to a full CMA role.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Enrolled in CMA program offered by Cisco College.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Experience with EMR systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications as prescribed to inmates.
• Monitor vital signs and document findings.
• Maintain medication inventories and assist with ordering supplies.
