Job summary

The State of North Carolina Department of Adult Correction is recruiting a Program Coordinator II (NS) at Scotland Correctional Institution in Laurinburg. The role supervises classifications services for a large facility, chairs committees, guides program assignments, and oversees transfers and records operations.

The position emphasizes staff training, audits of case management, and coordination with the Division of Institutions to ensure custody and program objectives are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of related experience.
• Or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as chairperson of the Facility Classification Committee and supervise offender job and program assignments.
• Supervise transfer operations and the records office.
• Train institution staff on classification issues.
• Coordinate and prepare presentations for the Directors Classification Committee hearings.
• Assign Case Managers to offenders and conduct periodic audits of the facilitys case management operations.
• Provide supervision of the classification process regarding custody and control status reviews.
• Perform other duties as delegated by the Correctional Programs Director I.
