Job summary

The State of North Carolina - Adult Correction is seeking a Correctional Case Manager (S) to oversee a caseload of offenders, provide supportive counseling, and develop case plans within the Lumberton Correctional Institution environment. You will assess needs, coordinate programs, and report on case progress with emphasis on safety and rehabilitation.

The role requires eligibility for NC CJ Education & Training Standards Commission certification, background checks, and a valid driver's license,

Qualifications

• Must possess knowledge of supportive counseling techniques.
• Eligible for certification by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education & Training Standards Commission.
• Meet Criminal Justice Standards requirements (12 NCAC 09G .0302).
• Pass a criminal background check.
• Produce a negative drug screening result.
• Successfully complete medical and psychological evaluations.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in major dynamic programs or coordinate specialized rehabilitation programs for offenders.
• Prepare written reports and forms and review documents from interviews and observations.
• Conduct crisis interventions and provide routine counseling, including suicide prevention.
• Develop, implement, and manage correctional programs and transition plans.
