Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree required or equivalent combination of education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Uses interview techniques and assessment methods to determine offender risks and needs; prepares case histories and assigns program plans.
• Reviews offender records to determine progress and adjust classifications or assignments.
• Advises offenders on personal problems, employment resources, vocational skills, education and training needs, family issues and institutional adjustment.
• Delivers programs to assist in re-entry following release.
• Assists with parole summaries and presentence investigations.
• Manages mail for offenders and supports transition planning with community resources.
• Establishes collaborative networks with partners to provide pre/post release services.
