Advanced Correctional Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide nursing care, administer medications, and coordinate medical services within a correctional facility in Moorhead, MN. You will ensure timely care, maintain proper documentation, and collaborate with practitioners to support patient health and safety.

The role requires an active RN license in the state, BLS certification, strong documentation skills, and knowledge of routine RN scope of practice.

Qualifications

• Active nursing license in the state where services are provided.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; hands-on training.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Knowledge of the RN scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Timely and accurate nursing care planning and delivery to patients.
• Contact practitioner to obtain orders.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments as ordered.
• Provide emergency first aid as needed.
• Record vital signs and other measurements on-site when appropriate.
• Triage intake screenings for necessity and priority at sick call.
• Collect and record data for CQI reporting.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA practices.
• Oversee and delegate duties within RN scope of practice.
• May cover shifts at multiple correctional facilities and train new hires.
