Qualifications

• RN license in the state of the facility.
• Two years of direct nursing experience preferred.
• Graduate of an approved nursing program (ASN/BSN).

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to inmates/detainees.
• Perform physical assessments and obtain medical history.
• Evaluate patient symptoms and report to physician.
• Administer medications as prescribed.
• Provide patient education for chronic illnesses and post-surgical care.
• Supervise LPN staff and participate in performance evaluations.
• Keep medical records confidential.
• Follow accreditation policies.
