Job summary

Department of Corrections in Maine seeks a Correctical Care & Treatment Worker at Maine Correctional Center, Windham. The role includes direct work with residents, developing case management plans, and coordinating with security and health staff to support rehabilitation and community reintegration.

Open between Sept 8, 2026 and Sept 22, 2026; compensation ranges from $26.54 to $34.16 per hour, including a $1.00 Direct Care Stipend.

Qualifications

Three-year combination of education, training and/or experience providing knowledge of case management principles and practices and/or correctional care and treatment programs.

Responsibilities

Gather and review background information and conduct interviews to orient residents, obtain necessary information and conduct assessments.
Develop and update case management plans including referrals to programs, jobs, education and vocational programs.
Track progress toward goals and keep the interdisciplinary team informed.
Maintain thorough documentation of case plans and progress notes.
Meet with residents to provide support and coaching, assisting with obstacles and reentry plans.
Collaborate with team to modify plans to ensure safety and success.
Facilitate non-clinical programs and interventions with individuals and groups.
