Job summary

The Salvation Army in Ohio seeks a Corps Program Assistant to build and strengthen corps programs, grow memberships, and support officers in efficient operation. Qualifications

Must possess management, organizational and creativity skills.
Must possess the ability to function independently or in a team environment.
Must possess basic office skills including use of computer.
Must possess a valid drivers’ license in good standing or show plans for obtaining a valid drivers’ license within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

Program activities: encourage youth and young adults’ spiritual growth; supervise and coordinate Sunday Youth Activities; recruit volunteers; prepare and conduct programs; arrange transportation; participate in divisional and worship events.
Practical responsibilities: maintain property and equipment; meet weekly with corps officers; promote Salvation Army in the community; ensure safety and security; oversee after-school program and record-keeping.
Office responsibilities: manage receipts and accounting; maintain activity statistics; provide written reports; keep regular office hours; assist with phones and client assistance; perform other duties as required; coordinate transportation and divisional events.
