Job summary

Exos is seeking a Performance Coach for a corporate wellness program in Rahway, NJ. You will design and lead engaging fitness programs, assess progress, and motivate clients toward their health goals in an on-site setting.

You’ll run group classes, provide individual coaching, and support wellness initiatives while ensuring safety and high-quality client service. A strong background in exercise science and clinical awareness is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification required.
• 6+ months of industry experience, including internships.
• Current NASM, ACSM, NSCA, or ACE certification preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and customer service aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Monitor participants to ensure safety and adherence to plans.
• Lead diverse group exercise classes for varying fitness levels.
• Conduct fitness assessments and prescribe personalized plans.
• Provide one-on-one training and motivation for clients.
• Support incentive and health-promotion programs to boost engagement.
• Handle administrative tasks for fitness facility operations.
• Assist with additional duties to ensure smooth daily operations.
