The ideal candidate has 3–6 years of experience, strong drafting and negotiation skills, and a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with Illinois bar admission or eligibility.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of sophisticated commercial real estate transactional experience.
• Experience with acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, development, and financings.
• Experience representing investors, developers, private equity sponsors, lenders, borrowers, and other institutional clients.
• Experience drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, joint venture agreements, loan documents, development agreements, and other complex real estate documents.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Structure and negotiate sophisticated commercial real estate transactions.
• Coordinate and manage due diligence from initial review through closing.
• Draft and negotiate complex real estate and corporate transaction documents.
• Interact directly with institutional clients and manage multiple matters concurrently.

Compensation

$235,000 – $390,000+

Aligned Talent Acquisition is recruiting for an experienced Corporate Real Estate Associate Attorney opportunity with a leading Am Law 50 firm in Chicago.

This is an excellent opportunity for a transactional attorney interested in sophisticated commercial real estate transactions, joint ventures, acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and development matters for institutional and corporate clients.

Ideal Background

• 3–6 years of sophisticated commercial real estate transactional experience
• Experience with acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, development transactions, and real estate financings
• Experience representing investors, developers, private equity sponsors, lenders, borrowers, and other institutional clients
• Experience drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, joint venture agreements, loan documents, development agreements, and other complex real estate transaction documents
• Experience conducting and managing real estate due diligence, including title and survey review
• Experience coordinating sophisticated transactions from initial diligence through closing
• Experience with real estate private equity or corporate transactions involving significant real estate assets is a plus
• Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple sophisticated transactions in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent client service and communication skills
• Strong academic credentials
• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
• Illinois bar admission required or ability to become admitted
