Compensation

$235,000 – $390,000+

Aligned Talent Acquisition is recruiting for an experienced Corporate M&A / Private Equity Associate Attorney opportunity with a leading Am Law 50 firm in Chicago.

This is an excellent opportunity for a corporate associate interested in sophisticated mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, and strategic investments for leading companies, sponsors, and investors.

Ideal Background

• 3–6 years of sophisticated corporate transactional experience
• Significant experience with mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions
• Experience representing private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, strategic buyers, sellers, and other corporate clients
• Experience with leveraged buyouts, add-on acquisitions, dispositions, strategic investments, joint ventures, and other complex transactions
• Experience drafting and negotiating purchase agreements, merger agreements, operating agreements, shareholder agreements, and ancillary transaction documents
• Experience conducting and managing legal due diligence and coordinating complex transaction closings
• Ability to manage multiple sophisticated transactions in a fast-paced environment
• Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent client service and communication skills
• Strong academic credentials
• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
• Illinois bar admission required or ability to become admitted
