Job summary

Dawson is seeking a paralegal professional to support corporate transactions, M&A activity, and regulatory filings in a hybrid Columbus area role. The ideal candidate will manage document preparation, closings, and due diligence with strong attention to detail.

You'll coordinate with attorneys and clients, prepare filings, and ensure compliance across multiple jurisdictions. A paralegal credential or equivalent is preferred, with proficiency in MS Office and document management systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, Paralegal Certificate preferred.
• Experience supporting corporate transactions and governance in a professional setting.
• Strong written and verbal communication, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and due diligence activities.
• Prepare and file UCC financing statements, governance documents, and various entity filings.
• Coordinate transaction closings, maintain data rooms, and prepare closing binders.
• Conduct lien searches, entity status reviews, and regulatory compliance checks.
• Prepare SEC filings and coordinate EDGAR submissions when applicable.
