Corporate Operations Training LeadROLEWe need an experienced Corporate Operations Training Lead at the Surface Ship Maintenance and Modernization Directorate (SEA 21). SEA 21 is the Navy’s center of excellence for managing the lifecycle of its surface fleet. Responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of maintenance, modernization, and inactivation activities, SEA 21 ensures that surface ships are effectively supported from introduction to retirement. The directorate integrates logistics, programmatic oversight, training, and technical solutions to help extend ship life, enhance efficiency, and align fleet capabilities with evolving requirements. In this role, you will lead the design, delivery, and standardization of training efforts across SEA 21 directorates, ensuring workforce readiness in the use of business processes, digital tools, and communication standards. Apply today.RESPONSIBILITIES- Analyze training needs to develop new training curriculum and programs and modify and improve existing curriculum and programs.
- Plan, develop, and provide training and development programs, using knowledge of the effectiveness of methods such as classroom training, online training, demonstrations, and on-the-job training.
- Coordinate established courses and training with training and services provided through other Navy organizations.
- Confer with the Government and identify and assess training needs based on projected changes to ship systems, system processes, and other factors.
- Develop and organize training manuals, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials.
- Review and evaluate training programs for compliance with government standards and regulations.
- Train instructors and supervisors in techniques and skills for training and dealing with students.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS- 10+ years of professional experience related to training and development
- Demonstrated experience training other training and development contractors to ensure their competency.
- Supervisory skills to oversee other training and development contractors to ensure their satisfactory support.
EDUCATION- Bachelor's degree in related field.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Master's degree in related field
LOCATION- Washington, DC 20376
- Primarily remote. May require onsite visits for urgent/emergent requirements or in-person meetings.
CLEARANCE- U.S. citizenship is required since this role supports the U.S. Federal government
- Secret Security Clearance Required
