Job summary

Lateral Link is assisting a repeat client and top-ranked Am Law 25 firm in seeking an M&A associate with 2–6 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have experience advising private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, and strategic clients on mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, add-on acquisitions, divestitures, and other complex corporate transactions.

• 2–6 years of experience in M&A practice.
• Experience advising PE sponsors, portfolio companies, and strategic clients on mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, add-on acquisitions, divestitures, and other complex corporate transactions.
• Experience across the transaction lifecycle, including drafting and negotiating principal transaction documents and managing deal execution.

The ideal candidate will have experience advising private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, and strategic clients on mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, add-on acquisitions, divestitures, and other complex corporate transactions. Experience across the transaction lifecycle, including drafting and negotiating principal transaction documents and managing deal execution, is preferred.

This is a sophisticated, broad-based M&A practice with meaningful cross-office collaboration and substantial client exposure for associates. The firm is known for its strong culture, significant associate mentoring, and optimal long-term partnership and in-house prospects.

Compensation is at the top of the market, with signing bonus potential. Large law or top-ranked midsize firm experience strongly preferred.
