Job description

This is the top finance seat at a well-capitalized sales and financing company. It reports straight to the CEO, and you’d be building out the finance function, not just stepping into one that’s already built. The sales platform is already working fluidly. What the company needs now is someone to set up the controls, reporting and processes that will carry a fast-growing loan portfolio. The business sells products and then finances them for customers over the long term, so standard corporate accounting sits right next to loan accounting and treasury. If you’ve wanted a Controller role where your work shapes how the company runs, and where the job covers more than the close calendar, this is that role. You’d manage two direct reports, work closely with the owner, and mostly work remotely, with regular time in San Juan, Puerto Rico as well.

Position Overview

The Corporate Finance Manager / Controller leads day-to-day financial operations: corporate accounting, financial reporting, treasury and cash management, loan portfolio accounting, budgeting and internal controls. It’s a hands‑on job. On any given day you might review a GL reconciliation, track down a $50K cash discrepancy, or analyze a loan portfolio report. You’ll work alongside Sales, Loan Servicing, Treasury and Compliance to make sure the numbers are accurate, on time and useful to leadership. You’ll also lead process automation and systems work as the portfolio grows.
