Job summary

Busy Season Staffing Solutions is seeking a hands-on Chief Financial Officer to lead financial operations, build the finance function, and report directly to the CEO in San Juan. You will oversee accounting, financial reporting, treasury, budgeting, internal controls, and a small team, while engaging with key stakeholders daily.

The role demands a strong background in accounting principles, loan portfolios, and financial systems, plus excellent English communication and high integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
• Experience managing or coordinating a monthly financial close.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with financial systems.
• Strong professional English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close and prepare financial statements.
• Oversee accounting for the company’s customer loan portfolio.
• Manage treasury, cash forecasting, liquidity, and banking relationships.
• Establish accounting policies, internal controls, and scalable financial processes.
• Support budgeting, financial analysis, and management reporting.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Participate in the implementation of accounting, financial, and loan‑servicing systems.
• Work closely with the CEO, ownership, operations, and other key stakeholders.
