Qualifications

• Available to work the full summer internship period (May-August).
• Strong interest in corporate finance and the oil and gas/energy industry.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; exposure to financial modeling, data analysis, or other financial tools is a plus.
• Minimum 3.25 GPA preferred; 3.5 GPA or higher strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with the creation and maintenance of financial models and forecasts, including the Company corporate model.
• Support monthly reporting, budget and forecast preparation, capital planning, quarterly activity reviews, G&A analysis, and other ad hoc financial analysis.
• Analyze financial and operational information to identify trends, variances, and key business drivers that support management decision-making.
• Partner with cross-functional teams on finance and operational initiatives, including monthly accounting processes and planning activities.
• Prepare and monitor peer company data, market information, and relevant industry research for comparison, variance analysis, and periodic updates.
