Job summary

Harvest Midstream offers a summer internship in Corporate Finance in Houston, providing hands-on experience in financial modeling, forecasting, capital planning, and strategic analysis. You will partner with Finance, Accounting, Operations, and other areas to support monthly reporting, budgets, and ad hoc analyses.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related field, with a GPA of 3.25 or higher and strong

  • Strong interest in corporate finance and oil/energy industry.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with financial modeling, forecasting, and capital planning.
  • Support monthly reporting, budgets, and ad hoc analyses.
  • Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends and drivers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on finance initiatives.
  • Prepare materials for executives and external stakeholders.

Job Objective:Support the Corporate Finance team with financial modeling, forecasting, capital planning, strategic analysis, and other finance initiatives. The intern will gain hands-on experience as a contributing member of the Finance team while partnering with stakeholders across Finance, Accounting, Operations, and other areas of the business.Essential Job Responsibilities:Financial Modeling & AnalysisAssist with the creation and maintenance of financial models and forecasts, including the Company corporate model.Support monthly reporting, budget and forecast preparation, capital planning, quarterly activity reviews, G&A analysis, and other ad hoc financial analysis.Analyze financial and operational information to identify trends, variances, and key business drivers that support management decision-making.Partner with cross-functional teams on finance and operational initiatives, including monthly accounting processes and planning activities.Strategic Finance & Transaction SupportSupport financial and strategic analysis for potential transactions, investments, and other corporate initiatives.Assist with analysis related to capital structure, debt market activity, financing alternatives, liquidity, and strategic capital management.Support acquisition and other investment analysis in coordination with the broader Finance and A&D teams, as applicable.Prepare and monitor peer company data, market information, and relevant industry research for comparison, variance analysis, and periodic updates.Presentation & Stakeholder SupportAssist with preparation of presentation materials for executive leadership, regional leadership, and internal projects.Create and update reports and presentations used in discussions with banks, investors, analysts, rating agencies, and other external stakeholders, as applicable.Support investor relations and banking activities through financial analysis, market research, and preparation of supporting materials.undefinedOther Job Responsibilities:· Demonstrate commitment to company core values — Integrity, Ownership, Urgency, Alignment, and Innovation — in all daily responsibilities and interactions.· Actively support and contribute to the company’s mission and vision through reliable, high-quality work· Maintain confidentiality of Company, financial, and business information.· Complete assigned work accurately and within established timelines.· Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Available to work the full summer internship period (May-August).Strong interest in corporate finance, financial analysis, and the oil and gas/energy industry.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; exposure to financial modeling, data analysis, or other financial tools is a plus.Minimum 3.25 GPA preferred; 3.5 GPA or higher strongly preferredundefinedEducation Requirements, Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations:Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related field with an anticipated graduation date of December 2027 or later.About UsHarvest Midstream is a privately-held midstream services provider headquartered in Houston, Texas with assets in Alaska, Colorado, Louisiana, New Mexico, North Dakota, Ohio, and Texas.
