Job Objective

Support the Information Technology team in maintaining, improving, and supporting business applications used across Harvest Midstream operations. This internship provides hands‑on experience with enterprise applications, data analytics, business processes, application support, and IT project delivery. The intern will work alongside IT analysts and business users to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, analyze data, test system changes, document processes, and identify opportunities to improve how technology supports the business.

Essential Job Responsibilities
  • Assist IT analysts with supporting enterprise business applications and resolving user, application, data, integration, and reporting issues.
  • Work with business users and IT team members to understand business processes, technology needs, and application requirements.
  • Assist with gathering and documenting business and technical requirements for projects, application enhancements, and process improvements.
  • Participate in application testing by developing test scenarios, executing test cases, documenting results, and supporting user acceptance testing.
  • Assist with data analysis, reporting, and visualization using tools such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, and Power BI.
  • Support development and maintenance of dashboards, reports, workflows, and other solutions that improve access to business information and operational efficiency.
  • Assist with application configuration, workflow improvements, and process automation under the guidance of IT analysts.
  • Create and maintain application documentation, procedures, knowledge articles, process diagrams, and training materials.
  • Participate in IT projects and assist with tracking project tasks, issues, action items, and deliverables.
  • Identify opportunities to improve or automate existing business and IT processes.
  • Gain exposure to how enterprise applications integrate, exchange data, and support business processes across the organization.
  • Learn and follow Company standards related to cybersecurity, data privacy, change management, data governance, and application support.
  • Collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders across the organization.
  • Adheres to established work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual to work and meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications
  • Applicant must have full summer available.
  • Intern should have an interest in pursuing a career in the oil & gas industry.
  • Required: 3.25 or higher GPA (Preferred: 3.5 or higher GPA).
  • Strong interest in business applications, information technology, data analytics, or business process improvement.
  • Basic understanding of or interest in databases, data analysis, reporting, programming, or business systems.
  • Exposure to SQL, Power BI, SharePoint, Power Automate, Python, APIs, or similar technologies preferred but not required.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking skills.
  • Ability to learn new applications, technologies, and business processes quickly.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document processes, requirements, and technical information.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple assignments and complete work within established timelines.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated curiosity, initiative, and willingness to ask questions and learn.
Education Requirements, Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited four‑year university or college pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Relevant coursework, student projects, or experience related to databases, data analytics, information systems, programming, or business process analysis preferred.
