Job summary

Eurest is seeking an Assistant Manager I for our Herndon, VA corporate dining location. You will assist with the overall management of food service operations, uphold brand standards, maximize profitability, and drive guest and associate satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has café and catering management experience, solid knowledge of food and financial acumen, and is comfortable with MS Office tools. ServSafe certification is preferred; an associate’s degree is also preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of food service management experience.
• Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and related food service operations.
• Comprehensive knowledge of food.
• Financial experience and business acumen.
• ServSafe Certification is preferred.
• Proficient computer skills with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Associate’s degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with managing food service operations in accordance with the approved budget while providing the client with maximum value.
• Ensures the food offered to the client, customers and associates is of superior quality.
• Assists with purchasing and inventory.
• Maintains excellent relationships with associates, guests and client, as well as other departments.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
