Job summary

Eurest, part of Compass Group USA, is seeking an Assistant Manager for our corporate dining location in Herndon, VA. You will help oversee food service operations, drive profitability, and ensure guest and staff satisfaction while aligning with brand standards.

The ideal candidate has café and catering management experience, strong knowledge of food quality, and a track record of implementing strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of food service management experience.
• Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and related food service operations.
• Comprehensive knowledge of food.
• Financial experience and business acumen skills.
• ServSafe Certification is preferred.
• Proficient computer skills and MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Associate’s degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with managing food service operations in accordance with the approved budget while providing the client with the maximum value for the dollars spent.
• Ensure the food offered to the client, customers, and associates of the operation is of superior quality.
• Assist with purchasing and inventory.
• Maintain excellent relationships with associates, guests and client, as well as other departments within the operation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Develop and execute strategic sales and marketing initiatives.
