Job summary

Eurest, a Compass Group USA division, is seeking an Assistant Manager at our Herndon, VA location to lead day-to-day food service operations in a corporate dining setting.

You will drive profitability, guest and associate satisfaction, ensure quality and safety, and implement strategic sales and marketing initiatives while maintaining brand standards.

This role reports to the Director of Dining Services and requires 2–4 years of management experience in related food service environments.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of food service management experience.
• Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of food quality and safety.
• Financial acumen and budget awareness.
• ServSafe certification preferred.
• Proficient MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily food service operations within the approved budget.
• Ensure high-quality food offerings for clients, guests and associates.
• Assist with purchasing and inventory management.
• Maintain strong relationships with staff, clients and other departments.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
