Job summary

Seneca Resources is seeking a Corporate Development leader based in McLean, VA to drive high‑impact due diligence and company‑wide strategic initiatives. You will partner with Market Leaders to lead M&A sourcing and to develop compelling business cases, leveraging deep market insight and rigorous analysis.

You will build detailed financial waterfall models and forecasts to evaluate opportunities, translating value drivers into integration plans.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience with strategy consulting, investment banking, or corporate development.
  • Experience structuring complex problems and delivering insights to senior leadership.
  • Experience building complex financial models, including waterfalls and forecasts.
  • Experience with Excel modeling and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Experience in Aerospace, Defense, Government Services, or Tech markets.
  • Ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Bachelor's degree required.

You’ll be responsible for leading and mentoring junior team members across the M&A lifecycle.

  • Experience building complex financial models, including financial waterfalls and forecasts, scenario analyses, ROI frameworks, and valuation assessments to support executive decision-making
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel modeling and PowerPoint presentations
  • Experience in the Aerospace, Defense, Government Services, or Tech market
  • Ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights, including using large data sets in Excel such as pivot tables
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively on cross functional teams
  • Bachelor's degree
Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with federal budgets
  • Experience with complex Excel modeling
  • Ability to build complex operating P&Ls and develop Monte Carlo simulations
  • Master's degree in Business Administration or Finance

Salary Range: Up to $150,000 Annually
