Job summary

Seneca Resources is seeking a senior corporate development professional to drive high-impact due diligence and strategic initiatives. You will partner with Market Leaders to source M&A opportunities, build robust business cases, and translate value drivers into integration plans.

You will develop detailed financial models, including waterfalls and scenarios, to support executive decision-making and lead junior staff through the M&A lifecycle. U.S. citizenship is required due to facility security.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with strategy consulting, investment banking, or corporate development.
• Experience structuring complex problems and delivering insights to senior leadership.
• Experience building complex financial models, including waterfalls and forecasts.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel modeling and PowerPoint presentations.

Terms: Direct Hire

Location: McLean, VA

The Opportunity

• As a leader within Corporate Development, you will drive high impact business diligence and companywide strategic initiatives.
• You will partner with Market Leaders to lead M&A sourcing and business case development.
• Leveraging deep market insight, and analytical rigor, you will develop prioritized M&A sourcing pipeline.
• For M&A activities, you will partner with market leaders to articulate the strategic rationale and help market leaders build the business case for each transaction.
• You will build detailed waterfall models and financial forecasts to evaluate M&A opportunities. You'll work with market and functional leaders to translate business case and value drivers into integration planning, supporting the end-to-end M&A process. You'll be responsible for leading and mentoring junior team members across the M&A lifecycle.
• Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with strategy consulting, investment banking, or corporate development
• Experience structuring complex problems and delivering insights and recommendations to senior leadership
• Experience building complex financial models, including financial waterfalls and forecasts, scenario analyses, ROI frameworks, and valuation assessments to support executive decision-making
• Experience with Microsoft Excel modeling and PowerPoint presentations
• Experience in the Aerospace, Defense, Government Services, or Tech market
• Ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights, including using large data sets in Excel such as pivot tables
• Ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effective on cross functional teams
• Bachelor's degree

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience with federal budgets
• Experience with complex Excel modeling
• Ability to build complex operating P&Ls and develop Monte Carlo simulations
• Master's degree in Business Administration or Finance

Salary Range: Up to $150,000 Annually
