Job description

Intapp’s legal team is looking for a privacy attorney to be based in Dublin or London. You will work with a small, fast-paced team that supports a global organization. Under the guidance of the Senior Counsel, Privacy and Compliance, this role provides a unique opportunity to support the company’s privacy and data protection initiatives at a growing technology company. What you will do:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate data processing agreements, including data protection clauses in customer and vendor agreements, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Provide strategic legal advice and counsel on data privacy and security matters, including data privacy and protection laws and regulations such as GDPR and others applicable to cloud-based services in Europe.
  • Coordinate privacy impact assessments (PIAs) and risk assessments for new projects, services, and product features. Assist in development and implementation of company-wide privacy training and awareness programs for employees.
  • Advise on privacy-by-design principles and ensure compliance with privacy policies, including handling data subject requests, data breach notifications, and maintaining internal data protection practices.
  • Monitor changes in privacy regulations globally and advise the business on necessary changes to maintain compliance.
  • Assist in internal investigations and handling of data breaches, including coordinating legal, communications, and technical responses. Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies that impact privacy within the cloud software space.
What you will need:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in privacy.
  • SRA Registered
  • Mix of law firm and in-house legal department experience; preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of global privacy laws and regulations (e.g., GDPR)
  • Experience negotiating and drafting privacy and security provisions in commercial agreements, including data processing agreements (DPAs).
  • Exceptional drafting, negotiation, organizational, communication and prioritization skills. Proven ability to identify, prioritize and resolve issues quickly and independently.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification such as CIPP/E, CIPM or similar privacy-related credentials.
  • Familiarity with cloud security practices, ISO certifications, SOC 2, and other relevant compliance frameworks.
