Job summary

AbbVie seeks a Corporate Counsel for Patient Services and Market Access to provide strategic legal guidance across programs, reimbursement initiatives, and payer communications. The role supports design, operation, and evolution of patient support services with a focus on compliance and ethical considerations.

The successful candidate will advise on HCEI, PIE, and data governance, partnering with cross-functional teams to enable access while managing regulatory risk.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Bar admission in at least one U.S. state, in good standing.
• 3–5 years of relevant in-house pharma or life sciences legal experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical, strategic legal advice to Patient Services and Market Access teams.
• Review and counsel on patient support programs, access, and reimbursement initiatives.
• Advise on HCEI, PIE materials, and payer-facing communications.
• Develop training materials, playbooks, and templates to strengthen legal acumen.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on contracts, inquiries, and investigations.
• Navigate U.S. laws including Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, privacy rules.
