Job summary

GOEBEL FIXTURE COMPANY seeks a Legal Counsel to provide strategic legal guidance across employment, governance, contracts, and regulatory compliance. You will partner with executive leadership, HR, Finance, and Operations to mitigate risk and support business objectives.

You will oversee employment law, corporate governance, litigation, immigration matters, and contract administration while maintaining confidentiality and professional integrity in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience managing corporate litigation and commercial contracts.
• Ability to advise executive leadership and balance legal risk with business objectives.
• Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication with non-legal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal guidance to HR on employee relations, investigations, accommodations, leave administration, and wage/hour compliance.
• Ensure compliance with employment regulations (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, OSHA, EEOC, NLRA, Title VII).
• Manage corporate litigation, employment claims, and coordinate outside counsel.
• Direct responses to government audits, investigations, subpoenas, and DOL inquiries.
• Oversee immigration programs and outside immigration counsel.
• Review, draft, negotiate, and manage contracts, NDAs, vendor, customer agreements, leases, and settlements.
• Maintain corporate governance records and filings.
• Advise leadership on legal strategy, risk, acquisitions, and restructuring.
• Develop legal/compliance training for leadership and employees.
