Job summary

Cisco’s in-house Legal team seeks a seasoned transactional lawyer to draft and negotiate complex sales and technology agreements, including AI, IP, data protection, and licensing matters.

You will partner with Sales, Finance and Privacy teams to align commercial terms with revenue recognition policies, regulatory requirements, and strategic objectives across direct and channel channels in a fast-paced technology environment.

Qualifications

• JD with substantial technology-sector transactional experience.
• Expert knowledge of commercial, contract and business law.
• Familiarity with privacy, data rights, AI and IP licensing.
• Strong communication in English, written and verbal.
• Proficiency with standard office software.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate bespoke, complex sales and technology agreements.
• Advise on AI, IP ownership, warranties, liability and indemnification.
• Counsel across direct and channel sales, pricing and distribution terms.
• Coordinate with Finance to ensure compliant revenue recognition.
• Provide practical, business-focused guidance to Sales leadership.
• Ensure agreements comply with internal governance and privacy rules.
• Mentor junior lawyers and contribute to team collaboration.
