Job summary

HHAeXchange is seeking a Corporate Controller to lead the Accounting organization, owning GAAP close, consolidations, and financial reporting. The role focuses on building scalable processes, strong controls, and automation to support growth, reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer. This position requires a CPA and 10+ years of accounting experience.

Located within Washington, DC, New York City, Philadelphia, or Minneapolis–St. Paul areas, with up to 10% travel.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience, including 5+ years leading accounting teams.
• Active CPA license.
• Experience managing month-end closes, financial reporting, and accounting operations within a complex organization.
• Experience in a publicly traded company, private equity-backed company, or similarly rigorous reporting environment.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting requirements.
• Experience leading accounting process improvement initiatives and financial system implementations.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively engage executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a demonstrated commitment to process excellence and continuous improvement.
• Demonstrated experience leading and developing a high performing team in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to design, document, and optimize operational processes.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to build executive-facing reports and dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly close, consolidations, and financial reporting activities.
• Lead GAAP close improvements to reduce cycle time and improve accuracy.
• Develop internal controls and coordinate with internal/external auditors.
• Guide treasury, tax, and capital management functions.
• Drive automation and AI to enhance accounting workflows.
• Partner with IT and cross-functional teams to scale processes.
• Provide strategic accounting insights to leadership and stakeholders.
