Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; Master's or CPA is a plus.
• At least 5 years of experience in finance with a controller background.
• Experience with preparing financial statements, GL and month-end close.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost and Inventory accounting, and Revenue recognition.
• Coordinate and direct the budget preparation and financial forecasts; report variances.
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
• Coordinate regulatory reporting preparation.
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
• Manage local, state, and federal government reporting and tax filings.
• Develop and document accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.
• Liaise with Finance on issues and best practices.
• Leverage Sage Intacct to improve systems and reports.
• Utilize MS Excel to analyze financial data.

Responsibilities

1. 1. Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.

12. 12. Be tech-savvy and proficient in MS Excel to manage and analyze financial data.

Qualifications

1. 1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus.


2. 2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the finance industry, with a deep understanding of accounting principles and procedures.


3. 3. Proven working experience as a Financial Controller.


4. 4. Experience with creating financial statements, general ledger functions, and the month-end/year-end close process.


5. 5. Excellent accounting software user and administration skills - experience with Sage Intacct is a must.


6. 6. Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.


7. 7. Strong attention to detail and confidentiality.


8. 8. Demonstrated leadership skills with a commitment to developing team members.


9. 9. Excellent communication and presentation skills.


10. 10. Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations.
