Position Summary

The company is seeking an experienced and hands-on Controller to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, leadership experience, and a continuous improvement mindset to help scale the finance organization and support strategic growth initiatives. This is a critical leadership role within the finance team and a key business partner to the CFO and executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory accounting, cost accounting, and payroll
Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Direct the monthly close process and drive continuous improvement to accelerate timelines and improve accuracy
Oversee the development and maintenance of internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and corporate governance standards
Collaborate with operations and supply chain leadership to improve cost controls, margin visibility, and inventory management
Manage annual financial audits and act as the primary liaison with external auditors
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team
Partner with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis initiatives
Participate in ERP optimization efforts and other technology or automation initiatives
Support M&A integration and financial due diligence, as needed

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred
10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a Controller or Assistant Controller role
Strong technical accounting background with in-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP
Experience in a manufacturing and distribution environment (light or high-volume manufacturing preferred)
Demonstrated success in managing inventory accounting and cost accounting functions
Proven ability to lead and develop accounting teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar)
Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
Ability to work onsite in City of Industry, CA
