Job summary

Wellmark Blue Cross Blue Shield invites current juniors and seniors to participate in a Corporate Communications Internship for Spring and Summer 2027. The program offers exposure to internal and external communications, with learning from industry experts and opportunities to work across channels in a health care context.

You will support planning, writing, and publication of communications, monitor media coverage, and help measure performance to drive improvements.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in communications or related field.
• Excellent writing with AP style experience.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with leaders and teams on how communications can help achieve objectives.
• Develop and publish communications including social posts, media pitches, news releases, and internal articles.
• Research new ideas to improve communications; monitor media channels for mentions of Wellmark.
• Interview subject matter experts and build content from insights; analyze performance metrics to inform reports.
