Green Top Farms was founded by a farmer-turned-public-school-teacher who was troubled by the lack of fresh, nutritious foods for many New York families. For the last ten years, we have built a high-volume food service, catering, and delivery business. Throughout that time, we have remained deeply involved in working to provide better food resources and education for school children, food pantries, and the broader community. We have also pursued our vision for a more sustainable and equitable food system. During the COVID Pandemic, we focused on serving NYC City Agencies and non-profit organizations throughout NYC.

Our mission is to build a more sustainable and equitable food system by reconnecting consumers and local farmers. We believe this connection leads to better nutrition, tastier food, greater social justice, and reduced environmental impacts. Our menus reflect our commitment to bringing nutritious, delicious food to those who need it most.

What You'll Do
  • Manage daily food service in a corporate office setting, including ordering, receiving deliveries, managing inventory, plating foods, and breaking down each weekday.
  • Handle inventory management and communicate with Account Managers, including filling out daily consumption reports and weekly summaries.
  • Supervise and schedule on-site team members, monitor and approve time and attendance, and train and develop staff.
  • Ensure a food-safe and sanitary environment that meets safety guidelines.
  • Manage customer feedback and relay information to the account management team to maintain high-quality service.
  • Monitor and update standard operating procedures, rotate positions, assign tasks, and maintain organization.
  • Display an outgoing and considerate personality with front-of-house experience in a restaurant, café, or catering setting.
  • Be an organized, punctual, and tech-savvy problem solver.
Who You Are
  • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19; proof required.
  • 3+ years of supervisory/management experience in a food service environment (catering, commissary, or banquet preferred).
  • 1+ years in catering or banquet settings.
  • Ability to carry over 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Excellent communication skills, strong tech skills (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace), and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Passionate about local food and nutrition, committed to reaching people with better food.
  • Flexible schedule availability.
  • Bilingual skills strongly preferred.
