The Manager, Corporate Alliances is responsible for the day-to-day management and oversight of strategy and operations for the Corporate Alliances team. This position may be worked remotely from anywhere in the U.S.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Duties)
- Reporting to the Director of Corporate Alliances, the Manager, Corporate Alliances serves as a vital link between the Corporate Alliances team and internal stakeholders, including Finance, Marketing & Communications, Operations, Programs, and Entertainment. This role is responsible for developing strategies and deliverables that increase brand visibility, foster meaningful engagement, and empower corporate partners to actively support the USO.
- The Manager leads the Corporate Operations team to support the corporate partnership workflow, encompassing pipeline management and reporting, contract lifecycle management, invoicing, rights and benefits tracking, grant writing, and general administrative support.
- This position also translates business needs into strategic initiatives that drive corporate development solutions. The Manager assesses and oversees the creation of key resources, such as sponsorship materials, development plans, case studies, one-pagers, event materials, branded assets, promotional items, and pitch decks.
- In collaboration with both internal and external partners, the Manager curates and monitors corporate partner and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) participation in organizational events and activities. This includes coordinating SLT involvement in donor prospecting, recognition, and stewardship, and providing regular updates to the SLT on Corporate Alliances initiatives.
- The Manager leads planning for Corporate Alliances team meetings, retreats, and the annual Corporate Partner Summit. They also coordinate the team’s schedule to ensure strategic representation at key USO events, partner activations, immersions, and industry-leading conferences. Staying informed on all USO initiatives impacting fundraising efforts is essential.
- This role includes direct management of the Corporate Alliances Specialists and the Manager of Corporate Giving Grants and Stewardship.

Job Specifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
- 5+ years of experience in fundraising/development operations, events or program management role, including 1+ years in a supervisory capacity. Relevant experience in a non-profit, military, multicultural and/or global organization preferred.
- Strong analytical skills. Demonstrated proficiency using data querying tools with large data sets.
- Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams. Ability to achieve desired results while working collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Ability to interact with USO Leadership, the general public and military audiences at a variety of levels with integrity and professionalism.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment related to controversial and/or culturally sensitive subjects. Ability to handle confidential information with tact and poise.
- Working knowledge of basic business and accounting functions including project management and budgeting.
- Demonstrated initiative/self-motivation, with the ability to quickly and easily adapt to changing organizational needs.
- Proficiency in using computers and electronics equipment. Working knowledge of various software, applications, and programs including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite and Raiser’s Edge.
- Ability to obtain and maintain proper credentials necessary to access USO Center locations and facilities including but not limited to security, credit and/or background screening, SOFA status, valid driver’s license.
