ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The Alliance Accounting Transformation Project Manager is a key position responsible for coordinating financial and operational activities across IEU, II, and IUS within the alliance. The role involves engaging with cross-functional teams to ensure collaboration, meet objectives, and implement decisions. The Project Manager will revise alliance agreement schedules, lead the rollout of changes including training, develop standardized reports, forms, and dashboards, and evaluate process effectiveness for continuous improvement.

LOGISTICS

Internews has headquarters in Washington, DC, and London, UK, supporting a hybrid workforce. This is a remote-based role open to candidates anywhere in the US or UK.

DAY-TO-DAY DUTIES

  1. Coordinate and lead alliance accounting team meetings and cross-functional collaborations.
  2. Provide project management support for alliance initiatives, including revising agreement schedules.
  3. Implement financial and operational changes at various organizational levels.
  4. Serve as a trainer for alliance changes, onboarding new staff, and providing ongoing training.
  5. Identify and resolve issues proactively, escalating when necessary.
  6. Document policies, procedures, workflows, and user guides, updating them as needed.
  7. Create dashboards and develop financial analytics for internal use and board meetings.
  8. Evaluate alliance processes and recommend improvements.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • 10+ years of experience in financial management in complex environments.
  • Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and project management experience.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Understanding of NGO practices.
  • Willingness to travel within North America and Europe.

Preferred

  • Experience with Internews' policies or international work experience.

SALARY RANGE

US $98,600 - US $128,200 (US-based candidates only). Benefits details are available on our site. For non-US candidates, salary and benefits will be determined during the hiring process.
