Job summary

Barings in Charlotte, NC is seeking an Associate, Corporate Actions & Income to oversee corporate actions and income processing for investment portfolios. You will analyze issuer documentation, interpret market guidance and advise on operational treatment while collaborating with Custodians and internal partners.

The role requires a finance/related degree and 2+ years in investment operations, with experience in Aladdin or similar platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related discipline.
• 2+ years of experience in investment operations, corporate actions, custody, fund administration or related financial services activities.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex operational issues and recommend solutions.

Responsibilities

• Analyse corporate action and income information and determine appropriate operational treatment through interpretation of issuer documentation, custodian notifications and market practice guidance.
• Exercise independent judgement when evaluating exceptions, claims and other operational issues arising from corporate actions and income events.
• Develop and implement process improvements in collaboration with Operations and Technology to enhance efficiency and controls.
• Contribute to procedures, controls and documentation to support operations.
• Represent Corporate Actions in cross-functional groups and discussions with custodians regarding service quality and event processing.
• Coordinate event impacts and communicate processing requirements to stakeholders.
• Support private ratings activities through interpretation of rating agency requirements and cost allocations.
