Job summary

Silgan Dispensing Systems in Grandview, Missouri is seeking a detail-oriented Corporate Accounting Manager to lead key accounting activities across Grandview and related U.S. locations, support strong internal controls, and develop the accounting team. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, 7+ years in manufacturing accounting, and CPA or CMA is a plus.

Proficiency in U.S. GAAP and SOX, advanced Excel, and JD Edwards experience are required or highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA or CMA is a plus.
• 7+ years of related accounting experience in manufacturing.
• Proficiency in U.S. GAAP and an understanding of SOX.
• Advanced Excel skills; JD Edwards experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and cross-location communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting processes and support an accurate, on-time month-end close for Grandview and related U.S. locations.
• Oversee applicable SOX processes and procedures, including account reconciliations, to ensure proper internal controls are in place and followed.
• Support plant performance reporting and analysis as requested by the Finance team.
• Manage intercompany activity with locations around the world, including invoicing and reconciliations.
• Partner with the shared service location responsible for cash applications, disbursements and fixed assets.
• Provide support to the corporate tax department for Grandview and related U.S. locations, as needed.
• Manage treasury, accounts payable and other accounting activities for the Canada sales operation.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Manage, coach and develop the accounting team.
