Job summary

Silgan Dispensing seeks a Plant Controller to be a key financial partner for a multi-site operation in Grandview, MO. Lead plant accounting, financial reporting, and controls while guiding forecasting, cost discipline, and strategic actions on the plant floor.

You will analyze cost drivers, manage budgeting, variance analysis, and product costing, and mentor finance and operations teams to promote transparency and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience, including manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, standard costing, and variance analysis.
• Ability to partner with operations and influence cross-functional teams.
• Experience improving close processes, forecasting, and internal controls.
• Proficiency with JD Edwards (JDE) EnterpriseOne ERP, Excel, and BI tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant accounting, financial reporting, and control processes across multiple sites.
• Ensure accurate reporting of standard costs, production variances, and KPIs.
• Improve monthly close processes, reconciliations, forecasting methods.
• Partner with plant leadership and Corporate Finance to drive action from data.
• Analyze yield, scrap, absorption, labor efficiency, throughput, and other cost drivers.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, product costing, and margin analysis.
• Maintain internal controls and support audits.
• Improve inventory accuracy, reserves, cycle counts, and working capital visibility.
• Evaluate capital expenditure proposals using ROI modeling and scenario analysis.
