Godshall Recruiting is seeking an accounting leader to head the corporate accounting function, ensuring timely financial statements for distribution centers and leadership.

You will oversee budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and analytics to drive profitability and efficiency, while developing policies and a strong controls environment. A hands-on leader with 7+ years of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years accounting experience with at least 3 years in leadership.
• Strong financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
• Proven leadership and continuous process improvement.
• Advanced Excel and ERP experience, Dynamics 365 preferred.
• Excellent communication and business partnering skills.

What your future day will look like:

Lead the corporate accounting function, ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements for distribution centers and company leadership. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting to support business objectives and growth initiatives. Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide recommendations to improve profitability, operational efficiency, and cost management. Develop, maintain, and enhance accounting policies, internal controls, and financial processes to ensure compliance and safeguard company assets. Partner with auditors and leadership teams to support audits, regulatory requirements, and financial governance initiatives. Coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Type: Direct Hire

To be a champion in this role, you will need:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 7+ years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity
• Strong financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis experience
• Proven ability to lead teams and drive continuous process improvement initiatives
• Advanced Excel skills with experience using ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience preferred
• Excellent analytical, communication, and business partnering skills with a demonstrated commitment to integrity and ethical leadership
