Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred.
• CPA or CMA strongly preferred.
• 3-10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience with leadership.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Experience managing audits, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to translate financial data into business insights.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes with accuracy and timeliness.
• Develop and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard assets.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and recommend improvements.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including tax reporting.
• Coordinate and lead external audits and work with auditors and tax advisors.
• Provide financial insights and reporting to senior leadership to support strategic decisions.
• Manage cash flow, banking and vendor relationships, and financial risk.
• Lead and develop the accounting team, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
