Vaco in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Corporate Accounting Supervisor in a hybrid role. You will lead the monthly close, consolidate financial statements, and mentor junior accounting staff.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Accounting, CPA (or pursuing), 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong U.S. GAAP knowledge, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to partner across departments to drive reporting improvements and process efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• CPA license or active pursuit of CPA certification is required.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Experience with month-end close, consolidations, and financial statement preparation.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with accounting systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to partner across departments.

Responsabilités

• Lead and support the monthly close process, including account reconciliations, accruals, consolidations, and financial statement preparation.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports for multiple business units and consolidated entities.
• Perform variance analysis and provide meaningful financial insights to leadership.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and reforecasting activities in partnership with finance stakeholders.
• Review and oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Mentor and provide day-to-day guidance to junior accounting and shared services team members.
• Support internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance initiatives.
• Drive process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency projects.
• Assist with annual audits, tax-related processes, and special projects.
• Collaborate with leadership on reporting enhancements, financial analytics, and business performance initiatives.
