Job summary

Woodlake Trails in Michigan is seeking a Corporate Accountant to prepare, review, and reconcile financial information for multiple entities. You will complete adjusting journal entries to the general ledger to ensure accurate financial statements.

You will assist with monthly results analysis, budgeting, and preparation for audits, and maintain the corporate general ledger. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or related field is required.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience required.
• 6 months multi-entity experience preferred.
• Knowledge of advanced bookkeeping principles and practices.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Word and Excel; ability to use email and internet.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Review financial statements and prepare adjusting journal entries by business unit.
• Assist management with monthly results analysis and variances.
• Analyze and reconcile balance sheet accounts; prepare entries and schedules.
• Prepare work papers for quarterly reviews and annual audits.
• Perform complex multi-entity tasks involving research and reconciliation.
• Maintain corporate general ledger and assist with consolidated financial statements.
• Prepare accounting details for auditors.
• Assist with annual operating budgets.
• Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports.
• Other duties as assigned.
