Job summary

SmartStop Self Storage in Ladera Ranch, CA is seeking a Corporate Accountant to prepare financial reports and support consolidations for the organization. The role will coordinate monthly reporting from property accountants, produce journal entries, and maintain the general ledger.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration and 1–3 years of accounting experience, with strong GAAP knowledge and solid communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration is required.
• 1–3 years’ experience in public accounting or private company accounting.
• Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
• Understanding of GAAP.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Be detailed oriented while multitasking in a fast-paced company.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements and consolidation packages for senior management.
• Coordinate monthly reporting from property accountants.
• Produce journal entries, reconciliations, and general accounting duties.
• Maintain the general ledger and prepare schedules.
• Assist in external financial statement audits and treasury management.
