Job summary

SmartStop Self Storage is hiring a Corporate Accountant to prepare financial reports tracking assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and related activities. The position is 100% on-site at our Ladera Ranch, CA headquarters.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration with 1–3 years of accounting experience. Competitive benefits include health, life, and disability insurance, generous PTO, and 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform general accounting and other related duties in the accounting department.
• Assist with monthly financial statement consolidation and quarterly packages for senior management.
• Coordinate and review monthly reporting from property accountants.
• Produce journal entries, reconciliations, and other general accounting tasks.
• Maintain the general ledger and prepare supplemental schedules.
• Assist in internal variance analysis and audits.
• Support treasury management activities.
