Job summary

Intermountain Farmers Association (IFA) is seeking an Accountant at our corporate office in Salt Lake City, Utah. The role supports the corporate accounting and finance team, ensuring accurate journal entries and GL maintenance in line with US GAAP.

The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years accounting experience, a degree in accounting (Associate required; Bachelor's preferred), strong Excel skills, and the ability to communicate clearly with store management and customers.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Understanding of US GAAP.
• Strong Excel and MS Office skills.
• Ability to communicate with customers and store management.
• 1–3 years accounting experience; public accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist monthly close process and ensure journal entries are accurate per US GAAP.
• Support external audits with requests and documentation; ensure internal controls.
• Reconcile cash accounts and other ledgers.
• Streamline accounting processes and document procedures.
• Analyze financial data, communicate findings, and make recommendations.
• Respond to daily questions from customers and store management.
• Prepare and analyze accounting records and reports for accuracy and compliance.
• Participate in ad hoc projects as directed by management.
