Intermountain Farmers Association (IFA) is hiring an Accountant for its corporate office in Salt Lake City, Utah. The role supports the corporate accounting and finance team, maintaining general ledger accounts and assisting in financial statements and reports.

The ideal candidate will have US GAAP knowledge, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work independently in a collaborative corporate culture. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in MS Excel and other software.
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers and management.
• Demonstrated problem solving and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monthly close process and ensure journal entries and reconciliations are accurate per US GAAP with proper documentation.
• Support external audits by providing requested information and ensuring internal controls compliance.
• Reconcile cash accounts and monitor banking activity.
• Streamline accounting processes and document procedures for efficiency.
• Analyze financial data, communicate findings, and make recommendations.
• Respond to daily questions from customers and store management on transactions and payments.
• Prepare and analyze accounting records to ensure accuracy and compliant reporting.
• Participate in ad hoc projects as directed by management.
