Cleaver-Brooks is seeking a Corporate Accountant to join our team in Thomasville, GA. This role provides accounting and financial reporting support for the corporate office, managing the general ledger, journal entries, and monthly reconciliations.

The candidate will assist with month-end close, variance analysis, and audit preparation while maintaining GAAP compliance and strong internal controls. A Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and 3–5 years of experience are required.

Cleaver Brooks is looking for a Corporate Accountant to join our team in Thomasville, GA. The Corporate Accountant is responsible for providing accounting and financial reporting support for the corporate office. This includes understanding and supporting Corporate Accounting through overall management of the general ledger, accounting issues, detail analysis and presentation of financial data, preparation and recording of journal entries, preparation and review of monthly account reconciliations, and other similar activities or ad hoc requests.

Essential Functions

• Assist with month, quarter and year-end close processes
• Prepare assigned monthly account reconciliations
• Assist with monthly spending variance analysis, including research, documentation and communication of spending variances
• Assist in the daily maintenance of the corporate general ledger to ensure accuracy and consistency with Company policy and compliance with GAAP
• Support peers and management with internal and external projects
• Assist with audit preparation and pulling required requests and documentation
• Assist in day-to-day maintenance of ledger accounts
• Performs other duties as assigned

External Contacts: Extensive contact with external sales staff, customers, and vendors.

Basic Requirements

Bachelor’s degree with major in accounting or finance required

3-5 years of experience required, with accounting, finance or related field.
