Job summary

Lakeside Foods Inc. is seeking an experienced accountant to handle a broad range of accounting responsibilities, with exposure to financial reporting, forecasting, tax, and compliance activities. This role supports company growth in a stable, family-owned environment.

You will work on month-end close, variance analysis, budgeting, cash flow planning, and audit prep, collaborating with internal teams and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• 3+ years of accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with financial statement preparation, month-end close, and reconciliations.
• Understanding GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• ERP experience required; SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Perform month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Analyze financial performance and prepare variance reporting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial projection processes.
• Prepare and analyze cash flow forecasts and related reporting.
• Assist with audit preparation and annual financial statement reviews.
• Support lease accounting and compliance reporting.
• Prepare property tax filings, business licenses, and governmental reports.
• Support tax compliance activities, including tax schedules and related reporting.
• Collaborate with internal departments, auditors, financial institutions, and external business partners.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency.

What We're Looking For
